Underpinned by good practice research, Investigating Misconduct introduces participants to the core concepts and skills in managing and investigating misconduct. The training is framed around the three stages of public sector misconduct management: allegation or suspicion, investigation, and outcomes. Delivered over two half days, these interactive sessions contain practical tips and tools targeted to the real needs and experiences of the Tasmanian public sector.
Participants will learn how to:
- identify the core elements of a preliminary assessment
- define factual and misconduct allegations
- draft an investigation plan
- plan for an interview, and
- identify best practice in investigation report writing.
